- Open daily, roughly 9:00–19:30.
- Closed on 25 December, 1 January, Easter Sunday, 1 May and 24 June.
How to avoid the queue
- Buy online with a time slot; the queue for walk-in tickets can be long in summer.
- Arrive at 9:00 or in the last hour.
- Avoid weekends and cruise-ship days if you can.
- Visits last 20–30 minutes; photos are allowed but the staircase is busy.
Is it worth it?
Yes, if you like architecture or books: since the ticket counts towards a purchase, it costs little if you buy something. If you only want a quick look, combine it with the Clérigos Tower and the Carmo church nearby.
