Quick answer: Venice’s access fee (contributo di accesso) charges day-trippers aged 14+ to enter the historic centre between 8:30 and 16:00 on selected days. In 2026, it ran on 60 days between 3 April and 26 July, mostly Thursdays to Sundays and holidays. It costs €5 if paid at least 4 days ahead, or €10 after that. Overnight guests in Venice municipality accommodation are exempt but must register for a free QR code. The 2027 calendar hasn’t been confirmed yet, so check cda.ve.it.
