Patio del Yeso and Gothic Palace

The oldest Almohad remains, and grand halls lined with tiles and tapestries.

Baths of Doña María de Padilla

Atmospheric vaulted rainwater cisterns under the palace, a favourite for photos.

The gardens

Terraces, fountains, pavilions, a maze, palm trees and peacocks. Fans will recognise the Water Gardens of Dorne from Game of Thrones.

  • Enter through the Puerta del León and arrive 15 minutes before your slot.
  • Do the palace first, then relax in the shady gardens.
