How to apply for the e-visa
- Go to the official portal, evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn.
- Upload a passport photo page scan and a recent portrait photo.
- Enter your planned entry date, port of entry and address in Vietnam.
- Pay the fee (US$25 or US$50) by card.
- Apply at least a week ahead. Processing is usually a few working days.
- Print or save the approval, and check every detail carefully.
Avoid scam sites
Many commercial websites copy the official design and charge two to four times the fee. Look for the .gov.vn domain. Agencies are only worth using if you need urgent processing and accept the markup.
