Singapore is small and the MRT is excellent, so you can see a lot in a few days. This plan groups sights by area and works around the heat and the evening shows.
Day 1: Marina Bay
| Time | Plan |
|---|---|
| Morning | The Merlion Park, the Fullerton and the Civic District, then the National Gallery. |
| Afternoon | The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest (tickets), which are air-conditioned and perfect for midday. |
| Evening | Garden Rhapsody at 7:45pm, then walk to Marina Bay Sands for Spectra and the SkyPark, or the reverse. |
Day 2: Chinatown, Little India and Kampong Glam
| Time | Plan |
|---|---|
| Morning | The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, the Sri Mariamman Temple and the Chinatown streets. |
| Lunch | Maxwell Food Centre or Chinatown Complex hawker centre. |
| Afternoon | Little India: Tekka Centre and the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple. |
| Evening | Kampong Glam: the Sultan Mosque, Haji Lane and dinner on Arab Street, or a river cruise from Clarke Quay. |
Day 3: Sentosa
Spend the whole day at Universal Studios Singapore, or combine the SEA Aquarium, the cable car and a few hours on Siloso or Palawan beach. In the evening, have sunset drinks at a beach club and head back via VivoCity.
Day 4 (optional): Gardens and wildlife
In the morning, visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens and the National Orchid Garden. In the afternoon, go to the Singapore Zoo or Bird Paradise, then stay for the Night Safari. On your departure day, leave time for Jewel Changi.
2 days in Singapore?
Combine days 1 and 2. Do Chinatown and a hawker lunch in the morning, Gardens by the Bay in the afternoon and the light shows in the evening. On day 2, go to Sentosa or Little India and Kampong Glam.

FAQ: Singapore itinerary
Is 2 days enough in Singapore?
It’s enough for Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay and one cultural district. Three days is better if you want Sentosa too.
Can I see Singapore on a layover?
With 6–8 hours or more, yes. Take the MRT or a taxi to Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay, and leave time for immigration and security. Even a short layover gets you Jewel Changi.
What’s the best evening plan in Singapore?
Watch Garden Rhapsody at 7:45pm, then walk over to Spectra at Marina Bay Sands, followed by a late dinner at Lau Pa Sat’s satay street.
