Bali’s tourist levy in 2026: IDR 150,000 per person once per trip, who pays, how to pay on the official LoveBali site, spot checks and scams to avoid.

Updated October 26, 2026 · 3 min read
Quick answer: every international visitor to Bali must pay the tourist levy of IDR 150,000 (about US$9–10) once per trip — children and babies included. Pay online on the official site lovebali.baliprov.go.id or the LoveBali app before you fly, and keep the QR code on your phone. You can also pay at counters in the arrivals hall (cards only), but queues can be long. Officers spot-check at major sites like Tanah Lot, Uluwatu and Besakih.

Bali introduced its tourist levy in 2024 to protect its culture and environment. It’s separate from Indonesia’s visa fee, and many travellers confuse the two — or pay three times the price on fake websites. This guide explains how it works in 2026. Details from Bali Travel Life (April 2026) and the official LoveBali FAQ.
